This wordlist was put together for students preparing for the IELTS test. It ranges from CEF B1 – C2, the equivalent of IELTS Band 4-5/B1, 5.5-6.5/B2, 7-8/C1, 8.5-9/C2. It includes Phonetics for pronunciation, and a simple Chinese translation to help those who need to understand it both ways. It is suitable for Generation Z students (born between 1990-2010) and Generation Alpha students (born between 2010-present). This list is also suitable for those taking the Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE, and CPE tests. Students taking the APTIS teen test will find the B1 and B2 levels beneficial for their preparation.
I used this wordlist when I was teaching in Guangzhou XDF. The feedback from the students was very positive and it has enhanced their preparation for the IELTS test. This online wordlist is searchable in many ways and can be downloaded or printed. I hope this wordlist will help you to prepare for the IELTS test as well.
